Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Irving, Texas

Job Description:

This position is for an experienced Quality Engineer role to join a growing aerospace team with L&T Technology Services (LTTS). As an important part of the Mechanical team here at LTTS, you will actively be providing critical value to our customers by helping to ensure high quality and accurate data is made available to the customers' engineering team to meet operational goals.

This role will work with the LTTS team and our major aerospace customer to audit and check a standardized process for Commercial Service part reviews. The successful candidate will be an expert in engineering-related measurements and practices and GD&T. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the part measurement process and tools including advanced measurement and scanning technology.  Duties may include reviewing processes, auditing inspection templates completed by others.  Candidates must have strong organizational and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail for identifying needed corrections compared to the engineering print.

This is an on-site position, meaning much of this role will require working out of our customers' facilities located in Grapevine, TX.

Duties/Responsibilities
Support as a lead Quality Engineer, including developing, validating, executing, and maintaining quality processes and checklists.
Work with customer stakeholders and operators to develop and maintain CMM standards and practices with regards to part set-up, fixturing, and measuring techniques.
Ability to use standard inspection tools to verify parts meet print or technical manual specifications (calipers, height gages, optical comparators, etc.)
Execute statistically based sampling plans for inspections and validations.
Support validations for new and existing processes, and equipment.
Participate in FAA inspections, ISO Certification and surveillance audits and customer audits.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
Review scan data and parts to validate conformance and compliance with established standards.
Interpret complex engineering drawings with detailed GD&T and confirm if the measurements conducted are compliant.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) along with blueprint reading skills
Knowledge of corrective and preventative actions (CAPA)
Knowledge of Control of Nonconforming Product process activities (e.g., NCMR generation, investigation, MRB review/approval, quarantine cage material control).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent written and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field
Five years of progressive experience related to precision manufacturing and inspection.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and sitting at a desk working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Compensation: $100,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
