Description

The Division of Public Health, Infectious Diseases, and Occupational MedicineΒ is seeking an exceptional Occupational Medicine or Aerospace Medicine physician. Priority will be given to applicants holding board certification in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine, or with a keen interest in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT). Our Occupational and Aerospace Medicine practice serves diverse occupational groups such as healthcare workers, aviators, transportation professionals, and other safety-sensitive workers. Our highly trained and motivated Hyperbaric Medicine team provides care in a state-of-the-art multiplace and monoplace facility, capable of managing any level of patient acuity. Our AMEs evaluate complex commercial aviators, including those requiring Special Issuances or HIMS monitoring.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Occupational Medicine or Aerospace Medicine.

  • Board certification in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine is preferred; those with a keen interest in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) are also encouraged to apply.

  • Experience as an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) or flight surgeon is a plus.Β 

  • Additional board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is beneficial.

  • A strong interest in academic pursuits, including peer-reviewed publications, clinical or epidemiologic research, and practice innovation, is encouraged.
