Location: Montreal, Canada
Principal Accountabilities:
The Engineer will be the technical focal on the customer’s site during the ground and flight test of the System, they are responsible for:
* Working in a safe manner adhering to all company EH&S Policies and Procedures.
* Attending Technical Meetings with the Customer and Suppliers to resolve technical issues and reporting status back to Project Engineering Management.
* Focal and Interface with the customer for Configuration Control and Technical Change documentation
* Technical Support to the System rig and flight testing on site with the customer in Mirabel, Quebec.
* Changing the configuration of Engineering units and mounting the unit to Test Rigs.
* Performing Qualification Tests monitoring and recording of test data.
* Providing Technical support to Bombardier rig and flight testing.
* Keeping accurate test records, analysis of results vs. requirements.
* Operation of Engineering Qualification test rigs
* Correct interpretation of test parameters and requirements.
* First line Troubleshooting, Failure reporting and corrective action. (FRACAS)
* Management test hardware and equipment logistics.
* Generation and issue of Qualification / Development documentation.
* Management of post test inspection requirements for Engineering hardware.
* Presentations internally and to customers for status reviews / FRACAS Reviews.
* Being involved in problem solving activities throughout the qualification and entry into service phases of a project.
* Responsible to the Technical lead for the quality and integrity of his/her work
Personal Characteristics:
The successful candidate will have a comprehensive range of skills including;
* Degree qualified or above in mechanical or electrical engineering
* Good practical knowledge and understanding of aircraft actuation equipment and hydro-mechanical engineering principles.
* 5 years experience in Aerospace development and qualification testing.
* Proven capability of technical problem resolution.
* Computer literate; familiar with general PC software (e.g. Windows, MS Office).
* Experience of ENOVIA & CATIA Version 5 would be beneficial.
* Autonomous, self-motivated individual, able to work with minimal management and deal with ambiguity.
* Calm under pressure and responsive to change.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Highly motivated and able to assert self within team environment
* Bi-lingual English and French would be advantageous.
Desirable Qualification: B.E (Electrical or Mechanical or Electro-mechanical)
Number of Yrs of Experience: Minimum 3 Years
