Your Key Responsibilities
- Accurately inspect a variety of parts and/or purchased material dimensionally and/or visually, including non-destructive testing methods to prescribed quality standards and procedures.
- Be proficient in the use of standard measuring gauge tools including mechanical, pneumatic, optical and electrical devices.
- Follow inspection protocols as prescribed in applicable quality procedures.
- Be proficient in performance of concurring inspection demands using skill and judgment to take assigned work to completion.
- Read and interpret production prints, and other written instructions necessary to perform assigned work.
- Perform several different inspection operations requiring skill, judgment and/or interpretation, including final visual.
- Be able to make setups or adjustments on various standard gauges or equipment.
- Record routine data and count parts as directed.
- Training new employees and other inspectors/operators as required.
- Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
- Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and required certificate(s).
Your Qualifications
- Education: Grade 12 diploma
- Experience: Demonstrated competency at Inspector level or mechanical aptitude and /or related quality experience.
- Skills: Knowledge of Schaeffler quality systems/policies
